Marcella Uchoa is a great Brazilian Paragliding competition pilot who in 2018 achieved 3 world distance records, and one of her dreams has always been to come to Segura Castle to spread her wings on the Andalusian valley winds, attracted by the fantastic stories about flights from its towers.
The true pioneer of human flight, Abbas Ibn Firnás, may have been, back in the 9th century, at the Saqura fortress and, perhaps without knowing it, his heritage has flown through time and served us as an inspiration … Perhaps. Or, was it just a dream?
Pursue your Dreams, with your heart and never stop believing in them … Because that same desire and your own energy will magically make them come true …
Today, the spirit of Firnás and the wings of Marcella, fly together forever in the confines of the Sierra de Segura …

Marcella Uchoa es una gran piloto de competición brasileña que en 2018 consiguió 3 récords mundiales de distancia, y uno de sus sueños siempre fue venir al Castillo de Segura a desplegar sus alas a los vientos de estos valles, atraída por las fantásticas historias de los vuelos desde sus torres…
El verdadero pionero del vuelo humano, Abbás Ibn Firnás, quizás estuvo sobre el siglo IX en la Fortaleza de Saqura y, quizás sin saberlo, su herencia voló hasta nuestros días y nos sirvió de inspiración…Quizás. ¿O fue sólo un sueño?
